Project Architect and Project Manager

Location: Westport, CT

Roger Ferris + Partners is seeking exceptional, licensed project architects and project managers for our main Studio in Westport, CT. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with high-end commercial and/or residential projects. As an integral part of the Studio culture, candidates must be motivated individuals with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team structure. Candidates must also possess strong leadership skills and be able to manage and delegate the project design or management process effectively and thoroughly.

Project Architects must have a professional degree in Architecture and must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the design process through all phases. Candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day development of the project design, including developing design concepts, often in collaboration with project leadership, and delegating design tasks to the project team. Experience with built projects and refined detail execution is required. Candidates must be strong, clear communicators and be capable of direct communication with the client.

Project Managers must have a professional degree in Architecture and must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the project management process through all phases. In particular, candidates must demonstrate a high level of experience in the construction documents and administration phases. Candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day project management, including managing the internal team, broader consultant team and schedules, budgets and the project drawing set. Experience in collaborating with consultants, technical detailing and problem-solving, specifications research and in obtaining regulatory approval is required. Candidates are expected to have significant experience with built projects and with contractors. Candidates must be strong, clear communicators and be capable of direct communication with the project leadership, the broader A/E team, vendors and the client.

Requirements for all:

  • Legal status to work in the US, including a working permit and/or visa
  • Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Sketch-Up, the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required
  • Familiarity with various rendering programs and plugs, such as Lumion, V-Ray and Maxwell, is appreciated
  • LEED certification and other professional credentials are assets

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
