Work Schedule: Night Shift with rotation primarily to the evening shift. Every other weekend and holiday rotations are required. Flexibility in terms of 8 or 12 hour shifts available.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The?Nursing Supervisor provides nursing operations oversight of the facility during the off-shift hours to maintain continuity of care.


  • Guides, directs and assists nursing personnel on the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts.

  • Provides immediate administrative and clinical leadership to unit staff and ancillary departments and coordinates hospital-wide activities as necessary to resolve problem situations as they arise.

  • Interprets and implements established hospital policy with hospital staff members, patients and visitors on a regular basis.

  • Serves as a conduit to leadership and administrator on call for communication, and as appropriate, for direction of critical patient, associate or operational event.

  • Directs and coordinates nursing activities and support services by serving as a resource person in management situations needing immediate resolution in accordance with hospital policy.

  • In partnership with the nursing management team insures that staffing resources are deployed appropriately.



  • Required Credential(s):

    • Licensed?Registered Nurse?credentialed from the?Connecticut Department of Public Health?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?

Education and Work Schedule:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree?

    • BSN required and 3-5 years acute hospital experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
