Our Client, a well-known provider of Cloud Based backup, disaster recovery and Intelligent Business Continuity solutions for Europe and North America, has hired Hallmark to help them locate and hire a LAMP Stack Developer to maintain and enhance their internal and client-facing web portals. They are eager to hire applicants who are both comfortable working with older code and eager to implement new solutions. Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a talented team of developers to develop, design, and implement scalable and future-proof software solutions.
Enhance the company's internal and client facing web portals.
Solve interesting and challenging problems from refactoring to design and testing.
Audit, evaluate, and refactor existing legacy code.
Participate in a fast-paced agile software development lifecycle.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong working knowledge of PHP or another high-level programming language (e.g. PHP, C, C++, C#, Python, Java, J2EE, etc.).
Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Experience with front-end development ecosystem (e.g. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
Experience with relational database design principles (e.g. MySQL).
Familiarity with the LAMP environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Must enjoy learning and be self-motivated with the ability to switch contexts as the needs of the business evolve.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with version control software (e.g. Git, Subversion, etc.).
Knowledge of the MVC Architectural Pattern.
Experience with API development.
B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
